Treo650 unlocking instructions:
First make a treo folder on your computer for these files
download software from www.beckerelectronics.com/treo650.zip this is single user client ONLY - for dongle applications see bottom
then download HTC drivers (as you will need them once treo is in test mode) these are at
www.beckerelectronics.com/treo-driver.zipor www.beckerelectronics.com/treo-driver.raruse the one that you have the extracting program for--extract these files to the treo folder as you may need to point windows to this directory to get the server to connect to the client.
Unzip enclosed files- you will need “winrar” or winzip – which if you don’t have is free shareware from www.cnet.com or www.download.com ,
Treo driver must be installed for cable – if it hasn’t been installed from a previous copy of active sync software before you must do that as well – if the palm sync software is running you need to shut that down before running the software for the server as it tries to use the same communication port. Also if you have used microsoft active sync prior on this computer it should be disabled.
Run client .exe file (for single user)- or if dongle then Open JIC technology program that says GSM server-
Must be connected to internet- Enter user name and password provided in the email - CASE sensitive!
Remove treo battery door- Turn on treo- connect usb cable- sim can be in or out
Now put treo in test mode- do this by the following sequence EXACTLY
- push sync button on cable (do not release)
- using pen push reset button on rear of treo (hold for one second)
- release reset button-- then release sync button
- fone should be red-green etc and say boot loader 0.17 or whatever and it is now in test mode
if windows now detects a new device then do the following- tell it you have drivers and point it to the folder you extracted the treo-drivers file to- windows will find a HTC device and install it- tell it to continue anyway when windows says not signed and when its finished it will be ready to read codes==
Clik execute on the server software-- should take less than 5 seconds to display codes..
Should say treo found--Connecting--Calculating codes- generating--And then display codes— Enter the #1 code as it is shown on the page -- Do not close browser window until fone is unlocked! IF you close window you will have to pay to "read" them again! or do a print screen and save.........
Remove treo battery – unplug cable – turn back on - Enter incorrect sim card and then turn on handset- Will say sim card not allowed-- Clik OK--
Then go to dialpad on the treo and enter the FIRST code EXACTLY as it is shown on the server and then hit DIAL----Fone should reset and say sim lock REMOVED
Your done!
IF you get to "generating codes" and the computer sits there then for some reason your treo has frozen some application in memory and its causing this to crash. you will need to do a HARD reset before you will be able to read the codes.
