Smart Card Terminals
Multifunctional smart card terminals. PC/SC, ISO 7816 and OCF compliant!

Micro3.5

The Micro3.5 is a convenient smartcard reader that can be used to read and write Smart cards without needing any cables - just slide your card into the "Micro3.5" reader and then pop the "Micro3.5" into your PC's 3.5" floppy disk drive!
Using the floppy drive's magnetic heads. There are no moving parts, so it is very reliable, and the enclosed battery typically lasts for several months' of use. Smarty works on all types of PC and laptop, so long as they have a standard floppy drive, and on all operating systems.

A full featured PC-keyboard with 105 keys and integrated
smartcard terminal. The keyboard features high quality, silent
operating membrane switches designed for long operation life.
The smartcard terminal is located conveniently for easy card
                                        insertion and minimum space consumption.

CHIPDRIVE twin contains two separate smartcard interface
boards which can be individually accessed through a single
serial connection. The terminal is designed for applications
which demand an authentication procedure between two
simultaneously present smartcards (i.e. medical data cards
with doctor and patient card or purse cards for fund transfers).

Micro+ (Supports 40 Different type Cards)
CHIPDRIVE micro (link to datasheet) Full functionality at an affordable price makes this terminal the ideal choice for mass application solutions. A serial passthrough connector cable with a NiMH battery (120) or a PS/2 port power sharing connection (110) ensures card current supply in any environment and allows shared use of the serial port. Integrated red status indicator light.

See Datasheet for CHIPDRIVE micro+ (110 & 120) specifications.

Desktop (Supports 40 Different type Cards)
CHIPDRIVE extern (link to datasheet) This durable, desktop terminal has become famous for its remarkable design. An ergonimic card insertion angle and stable steel base provide enhanced desktop handling convenience. A serial passthrough connector cable with a NiMH battery or a PS/2 port power sharing connection ensures card current supply in any environment and allows shared use of the serial port. Integrated three color status indicator light.

See Datasheet for CHIPDRIVE extern specifications.

Internal (Supports 40 Different type Cards)

CHIPDRIVE intern (link to datasheet)

This smart card terminal installs in the standard PC 3.5" floppy drive bay. The CHIPDRIVE intern includes an 8-bit ISA-slotcard with a configurable com port. Serial communication interface ensures full compatibility with other members of the CHIPDRIVE family.

See Datasheet for CHIPDRIVE intern specifications.

Portable (Supports 40 Different type Cards)
CHIPDRIVE mobile (link to datasheet) The portable CHIPDRIVE smart card terminal. A large display and compact design make this terminal ideal for mobile applications. Terminal software is downloadable. PC-compiled programs can be transferred via service cards or IrDA interface. A built in mini-Sim interface allows for use with applications requiring a SAM (Secure Access Module) - e.g., payment or authorization applications. The devices can exchange information among each other or with a PC via the IrDA communication link. Large memory capacity enables extensive data collection for central processing.

See Datasheet for CHIPDRIVE mobile specifications.

Micro 100 (Supports one type Card)

CHIPDRIVE micro 100 (link to datasheet)

Similar to the CHIPDRIVE micro+, but designed to handle microprocessor cards only. The micro 100 is fully compatible with the CHIPDRIVE Smart Card Reader family. A high quality contact mechanism helps preserve the condition of your smart cards. Compact design makes this terminal a perfect build in component. A serial passthrough cable with PS/2 or a DIN5 keyboard port connector ensures card current supply in any environment and allows shared use of the PS/2 port. Integrated red status indicator light.

See Datasheet for CHIPDRIVE micro 100 specifications.

API KIT Includes API sorftware and sample application software, API documentatio and instructions, 1 smart card, and one CHIPDRIVE micro+ (110).(Supports 40 Different type Cards)

Serial Passthrue Connector Cable with NiMH battery

Serial passthrough connector with NiMH battery

Utilizes an intelligent power management system with a rechargeable NiMH battery. The battery is kept in full charge by processor controlled circuitry and ensures card current supply in any environment. A serial port passthrough provides for shared use of a single serial port.

(Comes with CHIPDRIVE micro+ 120 and CHIPDRIVE extern models.)

Keyboard/RS232 shared power connector cable

Enables power sharing through PS/2 and DIN5 keyboard ports for continuous operation of cards with high power requirements. A serial port passthrough provides for shared use of a single serial port.

(Comes with CHIPDRIVE micro+ 110 and CHIPDRIVE extern models.)
